Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant Operations Manager to oversee the operations of our considerable-scale process plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant operations, optimizing processes, and leading a dedicated team (blue- and white collars) to achieve operational excellence. In a continuous schedule (24/7/365) the Plastcon plant is operated on a facility management contract with the plant owner. The Plastcon site and workplace for the team is located in the port area of Randers.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and People Management: Execute a transparent, inclusive and collaborative leadership. Develop work descriptions, carry out PDT to assure the teams personal- and professional growth.
- Operational efficiency and Quality management: Optimize production processes for higher efficiency and lower costs? This can include consideration and implementation of new technology, process optimization, continuous improvement and product quality.
- Health, Safety and Environment (HSE): Ensure that plant operations comply with strict HSE standards. This may involve developing a culture of safety, employee training, and implementing eco-friendly practices.
- Stakeholder Management: Foster positive relations with plant owners to optimize the supply chain, ensuring stable raw material supply, efficient product distribution, inventory management, and logistics planning. Engage with employees, communities, regulators, and investors through clear communication, social responsibility, and financial sustainability. Provide monthly reports to plant owners and executive management.
- Contingency management: Dealing with unforeseen events, such as accidents, technical failures that may affect plant operations. This may involve developing contingency plans, crisis communication, and evacuation procedures.
Your profile
- Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in plant operations management, preferably in the process-, power-waste-to-energy- or oil & gas industries.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Preferably a solid experience with The Industrial Agreement (“Industriens Overenskomst”).
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis and process optimization.
- Strong communication, cooperation and interpersonal skills.
